For Sale: Optical Guidance Systems 32" Ritchey-Chretien Telescope,
including Optical Tube and OGS140 Mount.
For over a year now it has become increasingly obvious to me that I no
longer have the time to devote to the use of this magnificent instrument,
and have little prospect of that changing for years to come. I have
decided, therefore, to place it for sale so that it may find appropriate
use in amateur, educational, or professional use.
If one were to purchase this scope and mount new, the price would be over
$300,000. I am listing the OTA for $275,000, and including the mount as
a bonus. (I won't have use for the mount after the OTA is gone.) Buyer
will be responsible for pickup of the scope from its remote Northwest
Arizona location.
This scope has produced hundreds of marvelous images for me, including a
nice collection of APODs and a huge number of magazine and book published
images.
If you have the resources and time to acquire an instrument of this
size and quality, you can save years of waiting for a new one to be
manufactured, and get a proven performer immediately.
